My clients with tough career decisions usually face 3 Main Problems:
1) They've lost 'Clarity' over what matters most to them (purpose, family time)
2) They've forgotten the 'Unique Strengths' that fuelled their success, and
3) They struggle to 'Sell' themselves effectively.
That's how Happy Work Ecosystem came to be...
So how does it work?
1) 'Clarify The Destination'
Many of the executives and professionals I work with find themselves dealing with one or several of these challenges:
• They're stuck in ‘Decision No-Man’s Land’
• Unclear on what matters most to them
• Want too many things, and
• Struggle to prioritise across competing desires and objectives
What they usually want is:
• to get clear on what matter most
• come up with a clear action plan
• and build momentum & excitement
What they typically get wrong is:
• Not being explicit about what you most want
• Not having a prioritised action plan
So as a first step in the Program, we 'Clarify The Destination'.
This is where you get very clear on your current state, what matters most to you and where the gaps to reach your 'target state'.
You go through a series of Exercises to achieve this:
My clients are all bright and accomplished individuals. However, when they come to me, it is often also because they feel 'stuck' in their jobs and or careers, unappreciated or undervalued. One of the key reasons they find it so challenging to get out of this 'funk' is that they have forgotten their 'Superpowers', what makes them uniquely valuable!
Typically they:
•Forget when they were last 'In the Zone!
•Don’t ever feel ‘powerful’
•Don’t know what their Superpowers are anymore
•Don’t feel anyone 'sees' their unique value (aka Superpowers)
What they want is:
• To recapture – and bottle! - that feeling of being 'In the Zone', being in a 'State of Flow'
• They want to feel valued that their unique attributes amd strengths are seen, recognised and valued
What they often get wrong is:
• Assume they never had 'flow'…
• Assume they have no unique strengths
• They don't make the time to reconnect with their Superpowers, their State of Flow
If you don't reclaim your Superpowers, nobody else will bother doing it for you!
And if you're not clear on them, how will you know where you play best? Where you win?
So here we do some other cool exercises: so that you recapture your 'flow' and distinguish yourself from the 'pack'.
Here's the third Big Challenge I find clients struggle with: effectively 'selling' themselves, or said differently, 'Mastering their Story'.
These are the problems they usually encounter, they:
• Struggle to connect their Superpowers to goals
• Forget when they were last in the Zone!
• Don’t ever feel ‘powerful’
• Don’t feel their Superpowers really are so…super!
What they want is:
• To be able to match what they want most with what they're great at!
• Tell a captivating story of themselves, and
• Promote themselves effectively
Their typical mistakes are to:
• Assume those connections are clear to others
• Let others make (often wrong) connections
• Think that their story should be a one-size fits all
So, having gone through the first two stages, you are now armed with a Clear Map & Destination, and with a sharper awareness of your SuperPowers (congrats!) - you need to become a Master StoryTeller...of your Own Story!
